FAQ
Ans:It’s a specific identification code assigned by the Board to first-year students, both regular and private. Regular students receive this code from their institution prior to their examinations. This is done once the institution confirms the admission of academically eligible students (those who have passed their SSC exams with a second division or higher in the annual exams, not including supplementary exams; however, students who have taken supplementary exams in previous years are still eligible).
For private students, the registration number is assigned after the examination and requires the submission of the following documents:
Original SSC certificate.
Copy of the first-year roll number or DMC (Detailed Marks Certificate).
Copy of the second-year DMC.
The Board assigns a unique number to 9th-grade regular students through their institution prior to their examinations. On the other hand, private students are provided an Enrollment Number upon their admission.
The format of the enrollment number follows this pattern: “20199018020001”.
Migration refers to the transfer of a student or candidate from one educational institution/Board to another, seeking better and higher-quality education.
Institution Transfer within the Same Level (School to School / College to College):
This form of migration is permitted by the Board when requested by the institution. Both institutions’ heads must agree and provide valid reasons via the Online Portal System before the 30th of October in the academic year.
Transfer between Different Educational Boards:
The Board allows this type of migration to candidates who fulfill all the legal requirements set by the Board. This includes the attestation of the Migration Application from the last attended college, payment of the prescribed fee, and submission of a copy of the last Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC).
Transfer from Board to University:
Candidates seeking higher education can migrate from the Board to a university by fulfilling all legal requirements specified by the Board. This includes attesting the Migration Application from the last attended college, paying the prescribed fee, providing a copy of the last Secondary School Certificate (SSC) DMC, and submitting the original certificate and DMC of the intermediate level.
Duplicate Migration Certificate:
A duplicate migration certificate will only be issued by the same Board/University mentioned in the last migration certificate. This is possible after fulfilling all the legal requirements specified by the Board. These requirements include attesting the Migration Application from the last attended college, paying the prescribed fee, submitting a copy of the last DMC, and providing an affidavit on stamp paper duly countersigned by the Oath Commissioner.
The Board has established the following procedure for correcting applicant particulars:
Correction via Admission Withdrawal Register (A.W.R):
In cases of clerical errors, transfer of records from one school to another, or from a school to the Board, corrections are made in the Board’s records using the original Admission Withdrawal Register(s). This involves submitting a complete and correctly filled Admission Withdrawal Register for physical verification. An attested photocopy of the relevant page and a cover letter, duly signed by the Head of the institution, are also required.
B.O.G/CBC Decision:
Minor changes in names or father’s names, such as adding or deleting caste/tribe indicators like JAN, KHAN, etc., are permitted based on Board of Governors (B.O.G) or Curriculum and Book Committee (CBC) decisions. The legal requirements for such changes are:
- Attestation of the Correction Form by the last attended school or institution.
- Advertisement in two newspapers.
- Payment of the prescribed fee.
- Submission of original and photocopies of the required documents.
- An affidavit on stamp paper, duly countersigned by an Oath Commissioner.
